People often ask me: What do you eat Jeffrey for breakfast.
My favorite breakfast is fairly traditional: Bacon – make that a lot of bacon, save the bacon grease add some more lard to the pan or unsalted grass fed butter and then float my scrambled eggs in the nourishing fat. Add some fresh fruit like pineapple as a side dish or if I’m in Costa Rica (visiting relatives) then it’s fresh papaya, which is next to impossible to find GOOD papaya around here.
Now I usually don’t have time for this type of breakfast so usually I have:
1. About 12 oz of meat stock (broth) with about 2 tablespoons of butter
2. A smoothie.
My favorite smoothie recipe is simple.
1/2 cup of coconut milk*.
2 to 4 raw egg yolks
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
Some water or a few ice cubes
1/2 banana or a mix of banana and pineapple
* – I used canned coconut milk and look for one without guar gum if you can find one. Guar gum can be very starchy and difficult for people with gut problems. Generally any “lite” coconut milk does not have guar gum. The coconut milk will keep you feeling full a long time and contains excellent fat for energy and fat burning.
